Why Buy the Bundle
Buying these commonly-replaced-together components as a set saves you a separate shipment and a second round of card processing fees versus ordering each part individually, and it means you are not stuck waiting on a second part to finish the job once you have already started. Each component in this bundle is also sold separately in our store if you only need one piece.
The Washburn's Metal Difference
Washburn's Metal is a family-run air-cooled VW & Porsche specialist shop — every part we sell is inspected before it ships, and our team is on hand by phone or email if you have a fitment question before or after you order. We stand behind what we sell: if a part doesn't fit as described, reach out and we'll make it right.
⚠ WARNING (California Proposition 65): This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.p65warnings.ca.gov. Parts are legal for use on pre-pollution-controlled vehicles only.
Recommended Timing
Because both sides route hot exhaust gas into the cabin heating system, we recommend replacing left and right heat exchangers together even if only one side has failed — the other side is typically the same age and close behind it.
