#T03 Bus: 4-Leg Rolling Transport Kit 1955-1970

Washburn’s Metal now offers our four-leg Rolling Transport Kit–the same setup we put under every split window Bus we build at the shop. The Kit (consisting of four leg/wheel combos) are specifically designed to fit all Transporter/Truck models from 1955 to 1970 and is a must-have when performing a full restoration and, after removing the drivetrain and suspension, we found this is the best way to move a Bus around the shop. An added benefit is transportation on a flatbed tow truck is a breeze getting the body to and from media blasting, and the Kit can be utilized throughout the restoration process including up to final assembly of the suspension and drivetrain. We’ve put them to the test on previous builds that have endured multiple rounds of media blasting and paint overspray so, whether you are restoring a Bus yourself or are having a shop do the work, Washburn’s Bus Transport Kit is the best option for mobility. 
Each Kit is coated in a heavy-duty, powder coated, hammer tone finish and hand-assembled at Washburn’s Metal in Orange, CA. The mounting plates are precision laser cut and inspected to insure quality fit and finish. The casters are 6” heavy-duty solid steel construction with ball bearings and feature greaseable Zerk fittings. Each Transport Kit comes with all necessary hardware to assemble and install on your Type II and locking swivel casters insure the Bus being worked will not roll away.
